The Venue

Crewe Limelight Music Club was Hightown, Crewe, CW1 3BP's premier live music venue — a cornerstone of the local music scene for years before closing its doors for the last time in January 2010.

The former Limelight premises were auctioned on 24 February 2011 and sold to a developer for £130,000.

What's Happening?

Club is currently closed.

There was a rumour that the Limelight would re-open in September 2011. As of August 2011, to the best of our knowledge this is nothing but a rumour. No one has contacted us via the website or the Facebook page. We are not aware of anybody approaching the Local Authority for a licence.

If you know any better please drop us a line — it would obviously be great news. The sure-fire way to check is to look for the notice of licence applications on the club itself. Any new applicant will need to give 28 days notice to the public who live nearby.
