Waggledance, which is part of Wells and Young’s series of guest ales, has a very delicate flavour which derives from the sweetness of honey on the nose and palate, and balanced by hops to provide the bitterness.


The ale uses the finest ingredients which include English Fuggles and Goldings hops, the finest English Maris Otter and crystal malt, and the honey is from South America.


Waggledance’s quirky name derives from the dance bees perform to signify to other bees that nectar is present.

The deep amber Kentish ale piles in the aroma and flavour with three different locally-grown hop varieties adding a wealth of fragrant interest to its bank of well-rounded malts.


This premium Kentish ale has wonderfully generous aromas of tangy malt, soft raisins and sweet oranges, freshened by the floral, grassy notes of three different Kent-grown hop varieties (flowery Target, tangy First Gold and orange-fragrant East Kent Goldings). In the mouth, the finely balanced flavour opens with a blast of rounded malt before the rousing, almost spicy hops follow through to provide a complex, multi-layered finish.

Hobgoblin is strong in roasted malt with a moderate hoppy bitterness and slight fruity character that lasts through to the end.

The ruby red coloured Hobgoblin is full-bodied and has a delicious chocolate toffee malt flavour balanced with a rounded moderate bitterness and an overall fruity character.

Golden Sheep is a fine pale ale brewed using time honoured methods and fermented in our Yorkshire Square vessels, to combine full flavour with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Old Speckled Hen

"Old Speckled Hen" has a full, smooth flavour and is very easy to drink. Its rich amber colour and superb fruity aromas are complemented by a delicious blend of malty tastes.

Toffee and malt combine with bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a balanced sweetness. This is followed by a refreshingly dry finish.

"Old Speckled Hen" continues to be appreciated by more and more fans, who are discovering that this crafted English beer is perfect with friends, during a quiet moment of relaxation or as a complement to a meal.

Bishops Finger

The Bishops Finger Charter decrees that it is brewed only on Fridays and then only by the Head Brewer using an antique Russian teak mash tun. He takes mineral water from the brewery's own 200 ft deep artesian well and adds Kentish malt from Denne Hill Farm and East Kent Goldings hops.

Bishops Finger is unique in that it’s a product of a single county. It’s brewed in Kent using water from the Faversham Brewery’s artesian well and raw materials – barley and hops – all grown in Kent.

WychCraft

WychCraft's innovative new recipe includes adding three infusions of Styrian Goldings hops to the copper, to create a highly aromatic brew, bursting with succulent citrus and lime hop character. A light base of delicately flavoured English Fuggles hops, and the use of a lager malt, help retain the signature hop character and create a wonderfully aromatic and fragrant summertime beer. Oxford Gold English Target hops give this beer a remarkable aroma. Late hopping with Goldings and fermentation by the Brakspear yeast creates a remarkable zesty aroma, a full fruity flavour and a golden colour. All Hops and Barley used in this beer are organically grown and produced.
Tangle Foot This Premium traditional ale is surprisingly light in colour with a smooth taste and a crisp finish. Tanglefoot won Double Gold at the Brewing Industry International Awards when first brewed.

Oyster Stout

There are no Oysters in Oyster Stout, but the association is well established and you can now enjoy this great tasting traditional English Stout.
The unique character of Oyster Stout is brought about by fermentation with the Marston's strain of yeast. Taken from the Burton Unions, this yeast is very active and gives full attenuation of beer giving a dry clean after-palate.


English Aroma Hops, Fuggles and Goldings are added for their fruity, floral and spicy contribution to the taste with the majority of the bitterness coming from the roasted malts. The final result is a rich, dark and extremely creamy smooth stout with good character and strength.

Circle Master

Wychwood Circle Master is brewed using a unique blend of Plumage Archer Barley Malt, organically grown for us under the auspices of the Prince of Wales Duchy Estate in Gloucestershire. Whole leaf target hops, naturally grown in a single garden in Kent, are added to create a beer of exceptional taste and character. The Circle Master conducts a melody of refreshing citrus and delightful malt flavour, rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

BomberBomber 4.4 abv Lancaster Bomber weighs in at 4.4% ABV and is one of the Thwaite's beers that is available both bottled and as a Cask Ale. It was originally brewed by Mitchell?s Brewery but, when this Lancaster Company ceased brewing, Thwaite's decided too resurrect one of their beers - thus Thwaite's Lancaster Bomber appeared. Bomber was originally produced in 1994 on the 6th June to be exact), to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of D-Day. It is brewed using Goldings, Fuggles and Styrian hops, which are all grown in the UK.

Flying Shuttle

Originally brewed as a seasonal beer for our Bi-centenary in 2007, Wainwright was such a popular guest; it’s now available 12 months of the year in bottle and as a hand pulled beer in pubs and bars! Wainwright is a great thirst quenching beer and has a wonderful bright, blonde colour in the glass and delicate fruit flavours, which appeals to both men and women alike.

The beer is named after Alfred Wainwright (AW), the renowned Lakeland author who was born in Blackburn in 1907. His seven guide books to the Lakes, which have sold more than two million copies and the recent TV series, have inspired generations of walkers to enjoy the breath-taking beauty of Lakeland and Cumbria, such is their popularity.

Marston’s Pedigree has always been crafted using the finest natural ingredients to ensure you receive a truly exceptional beer. We only use natural Burton spring water and traditional varieties of barley and hops (Maris Otter barley, Fuggles and Goldings hops), rather than less expensive, commercially grown modern hybrids.

Old Empire

With it's pale appearance, strong hoppy taste and higher alcoholic strength Marston's Old Empire comprises all the genuine characteristics of a true India Pale Ale, which were necessary to last the 3 month long journey from Burton to Bombay. Old Empire is brewed using Optic malt, a subtle and paler grain that will allow other flavours to come through on the palate. Goldings and Fuggles hops are added to this brew, which is then late hopped with the American Cascade variety for extra hop strength.

Master Brew

This is the beer that Shepherd Neame is best known for in the brewery's Kentish heartland - a distinctive, mid-brown bitter ale, with all the hoppy aroma you'd expect of a beer brewed in the heart of the hop country. Well balanced, with a taste that's been described as "wonderfully aggressive, tinged with sweetness". Master Brew is brewed using only the finest Kentish barley and hops, and is the best-selling cask ale brewed in Kent.

Fiddlers Elbow
